This week it’s all about the newly-released Game Update 2.2, along with the recent Livestream and the various hints about what’s coming up in the Summer of SWTOR.

We find Dulfy’s Companion Gifts and Crafting bonuses for 1.2 guide extremely useful when attempting to win the affection of our companions (still valid as of Game Update 2.2).

3. Holofeed

• Game Update 2.2: Operation Nightmare, featuring its own developer blog and trailer, was delayed from Tuesday (due to a bug that had been found at the last minute), but was subsequently deployed on Wednesday. This includes the new Archon’s Contraband Pack.
• Paid character transfers, which were intended to go live with 2.2, have been delayed until 2.2.1 which is scheduled for 25 June, though we now have confirmation that transfers between server types will not be restricted, though (at least for now) transferring between US and European servers won’t be possible.
• We now know the reason for the delay in providing the free character name change to subscribers, which is going to happen sometime in June, though after Game Update 2.2.
• The prices for PvP item modifications, while extremely high relative to the PvP gear, are as intended.
• BioWare hosted another livestream to discuss Game Update 2.2, which is summarised in great detail by Dulfy, who also made it available to watch on YouTube. Afterwards there were some clarifications about the Rakghoul Plague’s return, why they didn’t answer questions about bolster, and the fixes for bolster that were in 2.2 and are in progress.
• Only color crystals obtained from the Cartel Market will appear in the Collections UI, even if color crystals with the same stats and color are obtainable elsewhere.
• Damion Schubert gave some insight into why the credit cap exists for Free and Preferred accounts, and why the change to the skill trees that came with 2.0 caused keystone abilities to appear later in each tree.
