3. Holofeed

The next Community Cantina will be held in conjunction with San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) this Saturday (11 July). BioWare are asking for players to submit questions for its panel on the official forums and Reddit.
In August, there will be a Community Cantina held in Cologne, Germany on 7 August in conjunction with Gamescom.
EA published an interview with Jesse Sky about the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
Joseph Bradford interviewed Michael Backus at E3.
Courtney Woods has published the story Vacation, re-introducing Nico Okarr, the gunslinger companion all players will receive if they’re subscribed on 31 July.
A number of guilds were affected by a player utilising social engineering to gain access to their guild banks.
The comic Star Wars: Shattered Empire reveals what happened immediately following the events in Return of the Jedi.
A second anthology movie, Han Solo’s origin story, will be released on 26 May 2017.

Patch 3.3.2a was deployed to fix the vendor cost of the Temple Chair (Basic). The actions taken against the Chairgaters are being finalised.
Preferred (and possibly free-to-play) players may now attach a mobile security key to their accounts.
Ranked PvP Season 5 will end with Game Update 3.3, with Season 6 starting immediately. However, there will be a pre-season before Season 7 commences, presumably sometime after the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion goes live).
In Star Wars Battlefront news, the game may be delayed if it’s not ready, the AT-ATs are on rails, LucasFilm determined how the weapons are balanced and DICE know there’s a huge number of ways they could f*** it up. The alpha has been, log into your Origin account and goto this link to see if you’re in!

1. Introduction

In Knights of the Fallen Empire’s Sacrifice trailer, Ivilon identifies what could be a new theme for the expansion at 2:24. He also asks listeners to identify the very cool musical Easter Egg at 1:28: it’s a very recognisable piece of sound design from vanilla SWTOR that everyone should know.

3. Holofeed

Game Update 3.2.2 was deployed during a marathon 14 hour maintenance on Tuesday.
The Temple Chair (Basic) was made available on the Esstran Exports vendor for 1 credit, but could be sold back for 100 credits. Doing this was quickly declared to be an exploit. Penalties for players utilising this exploit are a minimum 7 day suspension along with having the credits obtained removed.
In Game Update 3.3, currently on the PTS, it was decided that the change to prevent AoE damage from interrupting captures will NOT go ahead. There was also another round of combat changes. The Tatooine hook count is now 900 (was increased to 1100 on the PTS previously, currently 500 on live).
Thanks to those who helped test the PvP changes on the PTS!
The PvP rewards have been announced for Season 5.
The cost of character transfers has been reduced to 90 Cartel Coins per character (reduced from the usual 1800 Cartel Coins). Swtorista’s has posted about what you would lose if you wanted to move your guild across to a new server, and suggestions to help guildmates pay for their transfer. SWTOR Miner reminds everyone that outfits created using the Outfit Designer do NOT survive character transfer.
The Android version of The Old Republic Security Key will now install correctly on all devices. WinAuth is another authenticator, along with Google Authenticator, that support TOTP and thus can be used instead.

There will be 7 days of early access, starting 20 October 2015. To be eligible for early access, you must have received the four pre-launch expansion rewards, which require being subscribed on 31 July (Nico Okarr companion), 31 August (his blasters), 30 September (his duster coat) and 19 October (swoop bike).
Some other tidbits about the expansion:
- The Eternal Empire is not a playable faction, and there will not be cross-faction play (the same as it is now)
- Charles Boyd gives us some story insights into what’s coming
- Obtaining the expansion (by being subscribed on 27 October) will grant a single character per account that starts at level 60. Subsequent “insta-60s” can be purchased through the Cartel Market. They must be new characters (you cannot “boost” an existing character to level 60).
- While there was no mention of new Operations in the expansion announcement, there is a blog coming soon on the subject explaining their plans.

The Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event is live, running until 25 August 2015.
The latest pack in Shipment 7, the Mid Rim Explorer’s Pack (previews from Dulfy and TORC), is now available. Each Hypercrate includes a single revamped Platinum Pack.
SWTOR has upgraded its security key system to allow the use of any OAuth-compatible authenticator app, including Google Authenticator and WinAuth. They have also upgraded the SWTOR mobile security key, though it may not install (due to an apparent incompatibility issue) on the latest Android devices.
The Yavin 4 Stronghold and Togruta livestream can be viewed on Twitch (part 1 and part 2) or on YouTube. There are summaries for what was covered on Dulfy and TORC, and Swtorista has a detailed preview of the Yavin 4 Stronghold.
Game Update 3.3 is now on the PTS. Various changes are being considered, including adding 500 and 1000 Warzone Commendation legacy-transferrable lockboxs, increasing the PvP daily and weekly rewards (to make up for the removal of Ranked Warzone Commendations), and introducing the increased Warzone Commendation cap early in Game Update 3.2.2.
Those doing the PvP weapon dance be warned: all PvP weapons will become bound to you during the Game Update 3.3. maintenance, preventing them from being exchanged for Warzone Commendations.
BioWare is providing some inducements to convince players to come together on the PTS to try out the PvP changes in regular warzones on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week.
A member of the SWTOR security team gives us some insight into their ongoing fight against credit sellers and other nefarious criminals. Note that BioWare is aware of the new spammer technique that utilises emotes!
Star Wars Uprising is a new RPG for mobile platforms.

Windows 10 is coming on 29 July. Those running its preview build have confirmed that SWTOR runs without issues. We recommend signing up for the upgrade!
Alex Modny is asking for ideas for making Strike Fighters better in GSF.
There are big changes coming to PvP in Game Update 3.3, which is planned to be on the PTS on Thursday 4 June. The Bad Feeling Podcast had an exclusive interview with Alex Modny and Eric Musco in which the news of the changes was broken (you can read a summary of the interview here). Some additional information:
- Modification costs: 168 Mods & Enhancements = 150 Warzone comms, 174 Mods = 400 Warzone comms, 174 Enhancements = 800 Warzone comms
- Ranked Warzone Comms will be converted to Warzone Comms at a 1:1 ratio
- Future Ranked PvP rewards may be Bind-on-Legacy
- The solo queue for Ranked PvP will require that the gear being worn when queuing has (unbolstered) maximum Expertise (2018).

Game Update 3.2.1 was deployed during a very long maintenance on Wednesday morning. With it comes the restoration of the Character Transfer service, which had been unavailable for several weeks.
The Temple Chair (Basic) deco which was found in Collections for the latest Cartel Pack was not intended to be in it; it will be available on the Esstran Exports Reputation vendor in Game Update 3.2.2.
While the set bonuses for the Combat Medic/Bodyguard sets are now working, you have to unequip/reequip every time you enter a phase to get it to work.
While a large number of credit sellers were taken down recently, more have arisen in their place! Keep on reporting them, and they will eventually be dealt with.
The actions being taken against win-traders and trolls in Ranked PvP are reportedly having a significant effect, with many trolls no longer playing the game due to suspensions. The techniques used to identify win-traders will not be revealed.
Use data-mined information at your own risk! For example, don’t blame Dulfy if her Conquest calendar is out of date.
There will be an hour-long livestream on Wednesday 3 June at 2pm Pacific (10pm BST, 7am AEST) to showcase the new Yavin 4 Stronghold and Togruta playable species. Tune into SWTOR’s Twitch channel to watch.
In EA’s annual report (Form 10-K), it was noted that there was a decrease in SWTOR’s revenue year-on-year in fiscal year 2015.

Patch 3.2c was deployed on Thursday morning in record time (35 minutes). Kudos to the Live Services team!
The Relics of the Gree event will conclude on Tuesday 26 May. Bounty Contract Week will then start, concluding on Tuesday 2 June.
Game Update 3.2.1 will be deployed on Wednesday 27 May, rather than Tuesday, delayed due to the Memorial Day public holiday on Monday 25 May. Preliminary patch notes have been made available.
Included in Game Update 3.2.1 is the restoration of the achievements earned from last year’s Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event that had mysteriously disappeared. Speaking of the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event, it is making its annual return on Tuesday 9 June, running for 11 weeks until Tuesday 25 August.
If you believe you are experiencing a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack while participating in PvP, please contact BioWare privately, providing as much information as you can. To avoid this happening to you, avoid situations where your personal internet connection’s IP address could be detected, such as logging into someone else’s Mumble, Ventrilo or TeamSpeak server, or posting on a private forum.
It appears that KOTOR2 (Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords) will soon be available on mobile devices.
Filmmaker Jamie Benning (@jamieswb) interviews Garrick Hagon, the actor who played Biggs Darklighter in Star Wars: A New Hope, in the video documentary Blast it Biggs! Where are you?!.
In a cryptic tweet, Aaryn Flynn (head of BioWare Edmonton and Montreal) hinted that BioWare could return to the “amazing universe” of Star Wars, and explicitly mentions KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic). Could this be a non-SWTOR game in The Old Republic timeline?
