Dan Bunten (Associate Producer) answered some questions asked about Weapon Tunings, with the first (Lightning) arriving in the Plunderer’s Pack coming in Game Update 4.4.
The Eternal Empire Recon Walker, currently available as a rare drop in the Heroic Star Fortresses, will also be available on the Eternal Championship vendor.
Character transfers, which increased from 90 CC to 1000 CC, are now available between the US and EU, though are more expensive at 1500 CC.
BioWare are doing a series of promotions for May to celebration Star Wars Day (May the Fourth).

From famine to feast when it comes to SWTOR news this week! We talk about cheap character transfers coming to an end, the latest exploit, the upcoming Chapter 13: Profit and Plunder, the new Weapon Tuning feature, Ben Irving’s open letter to the SWTOR community, and more.

There was server-side maintenance on Tuesday to fix the problem with queuing as a group for PvP, and the display of transferred players on the Ranked Leaderboards.
The offer of 500 Cartel Coins for subscribing by 11 April was a targeted campaign utilising a capability of the recently upgraded launcher.
Odessan Proving Ground is turning up more often than the other warzones due to it having cross-faction teams, which can be filled more easily rather than having to wait for the requisite number from each faction. BioWare is investigating whether this behaviour can be adjusted to give the other warzones more opportunities to pop.
Cheap (90 Cartel Coin) character transfers between servers will end on Tuesday 26 April. The new price will be 1000 CC, nearly half the original price (1800 CC).
An exploit that could result in very large quantities of credits being produced was introduced in Game Update 4.3. It is no longer possible. Those taking advantage of it have been banned. If you have received a large amount of credits, hang onto them for now, and report via a PM to Eric Musco on the official forums.
A press release and trailer have been released for Chapter 13: Profit and Plunder (early access 3 May with Game Update 4.4, full release on 5 May). It will include visiting the newly-introduced planet Vandin.
If you subscribe by 1 May, you will receive early access and the HK-55 ship droid customization.
Game Update 4.4 will include fixes for the Rishi Cove Arena. It also contains the Eternal Championship, available to all players (not just subscribers) who have completed Chapter 9 and started building their Alliance.
The Weapon Tuning item modification will allow effects to be added to a subset of weapons that have the new Tuning Slot. Weapon Tuning mods can be removed (for a fee), are not added to Collections (like Dye Modules), and will initially only be available in Cartel Packs. The first Weapon Tuning will be Lightning, available in the Plunder’s Pack coming in Game Update 4.4.
Ben Irving (Producer) has written an open letter to SWTOR’s players.

You are no longer flagged for PvP when entering Outlaw’s Den in a PvE gameplay focus instance.
Free-to-play and Preferred players were offered a 500 Cartel Coin incentive to subscribe by 11 April.
It appears that the fifth Stronghold is giving a Conquest bonus, for a potential total bonus of 125%.
Group queuing in PvP is currently bugged.
The PTS with the Eternal Championship has been closed down ahead of its release with Game Update 4.4 on 3 May.
The official teaser trailer for Rogue One, a Star Wars story, has been released.

The April Producer Livestream was held on Tuesday afternoon. The official summary has been posted, along with Dulfy’s write-up.
The Visionary Alliance Pack is now available.
The Eternal Championship is available on the PTS, and will remain there for another week. Due to the map being unavailable, follow these instructions to get there. There has already been one PTS update, with another planned. It will go live with Game Update 4.4 on 3 May.
James Ohlen, BioWare’s Senior Creative Directory, has begun tweeting again. That includes a hint of more MMO bits being planned, and a new Blur trailer for possibly an expansion to SWTOR.

Since last August, the Cartel Coin monthly stipend was being sent to subscribers every 33 days, rather than every 30, meaning they were being delivered later and later each month. This will be remedied during maintenance on Tuesday 5 April for Game Update 4.3. While no one should have lost any Cartel Coins as a result of this issue, if you believe you have, please contact Customer Support.
The new secret IP being developed by BioWare was revealed on a t-shirt being worn by Alistair McNally while walking the floor at GDC 2016, though it seems no one noticed.
The Path of a Lightsaber video shows Anakin Skywalker’s lightsaber passing through several hands to finally be present at the closing scene in The Force Awakens.
Executive Producer of Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni, deliberately included Malachor, a planet from the Old Republic era. It’s possible he may later introduce Revan in a holocron.

3. Holofeed

The PTS with Game Update 4.3 has been shut down, but then came up again with the Eternal Championship available. However, it quickly became evident that the Eternal Championship wasn’t accessible due to a bug, and the PTS was taken down again to fix those issues.
There was a three hour server-side only maintenance on Tuesday morning. The issue with Nico Okarr being unable to be sent on crew skill missions remained, though was subsequently fixed by Patch 4.3b on Thursday morning.
BioWare has published a press release for Chapter 12: Visions of the Dark that is officially releasing on Thursday 7 April, with early access on Tuesday 5 April for those subscribed on 1 April. A trailer was also released for the new chapter.
Paul Marino (Lead Narrative Designer) and the animation team are heading to The Capture Lab at the EAC (EA Canada) campus in Vancouver (located in Burnaby) to do some motion capture for SWTOR.
Players are warned not to abuse the squelching system.
There will be Community Cantinas in 2016, most likely starting with Star Wars Celebration in London (15-17 July).
BioWare is hiring a Monetisation Specialist to “focus on analyzing, managing, growing and optimizing the in-game item catalog to maximise monetization potential for [SWTOR]”.

Those who’d completed one or more class stories via an insta-60 have had their Legendary status revoked. It was not intended that an insta-60 (created using a Start at 60 token) would grant the class story completion achievement.
Slicing nodes now drop Premium (green) rather than Prototype (blue) lockboxes, due to them returning too many credits. Slicing Missions are unaffected, and thus still return Prototype lockboxes.
When five Strongholds can be unlocked in Game Update 4.3, the four most complete of the five Strongholds will contribute up to 25% each to your Conquest bonus, for a total of 100%.
Another round of changes have been implemented to the Odessan Proving Ground 8v8 warzone on the PTS.

The March Producer Livestream was held on Wednesday afternoon. They elaborated on why the Eternal Championship has been delayed again, with no release date announced, though it will be on the PTS by the end of March.
The PTS has been updated with various fixes as the BioWare team continue to iterate on the new 8v8 warzone, the Odessan Proving Ground.

Game Update 4.3 is on the PTS, bringing The Odessan Proving Ground, an 8v8 warzone, and the Rishi Cove Arena. There’s also the new Gameplay Focus Area feature which removes the need for separate PvE and PvP servers. Lots to talk about this week as we get into the details!

Those who somehow missed (or never received) the Valentine’s Day reward emails should have been sent a second copy.
Game Update 4.3 is now on the PTS, though there are some known issues.
Players are warned to NOT use their insta-60 tokens on the PTS, as this will cause the token to be consumed (and effectively wasted, as the characters on the PTS will be wiped once this round of testing is completed).
No class balance changes are planned for Game Update 4.
The warzone queue on the PTS will only serve up the Odessan Proving Ground and the Rishi Cove Arena.
The mechanics of the Odessan Proving Ground, which are based on the “King of the Hill” style, were explained in detail.
While some of the changes in Game Update 4.3 may suggest that megaservers are coming, Eric Musco (Community Manager) has explicitly stated that this is not the case.
