OotiniCast Episode 281

We discuss Game Update 4.7.2, the actions taken against credit sellers, and then speculate wildly about the glimpses we were given of the KotET trailer! Later in the show we talk about why more of SWTOR should have a solo mode.

1. Introduction

2. Tip of the week

Congratulations to this week’s winner, Dothack!

Please send your tips to ootinicast@gmail.com by next Tuesday for a chance to win a Taunfawn or M8-3R droid code, courtesy of BioWare, and an OotiniCast-provided Cartel Market pack from the latest shipment.

3. Holofeed

  • Game Update 4.7.2 was deployed during Tuesday’s maintenance.
  • During the maintenance, major action was taken against credit sellers, which resulted in trillions of credits being removed from the game.
  • There is a bug in the length of weapons, making them bigger than they should be; it’s particularly noticeable with double-bladed lightsabers.
  • Best wishes to Bruce Maclean, former Senior Producer for SWTOR, who was promoted to EA Studio General Manager in Salt Lake City.
  • Three teasers for the Knights of the Eternal Throne trailer were released leading up to the 7 October announcement. We speculate wildly about what it would contain! You can see the full trailer here, released a day after we recorded.

4. The Academy

Swtorista continues her PvP series with a detailed overview of the 8v8 warzone Novarre Coast!

5. Force Feedback

Charlie (Kranitoko) has released another pack opening video!

In response to Javadoggy Starbucks question about catching up on Galactic History, Teo recalled this video.

Swtorista’s guide was recommended to Jeff, who was asking which Flashpoints support a solo mode.

6. Outro

On the show this week were Chill (@BrandonLStarr, twitch.tv/chillswtor), Teo (@jasonetheridge) and Blay (@Blachloch).
