  1. Heya,

First – fantastic podcast, best about the game out there. I’m a PvP-focussed player, and it’s been interesting as I’ve been listening to hear how you’ve slowly turned towards the dark, noob-ganking side.

Anyway, Electronet. It’s not specifically bad for sages, if anything they have it easy with barrier. It’s just a great ability and I love it on my commando and merc.

Any of the many species of leaper: bounce them, electronet, pewpew them down while they stumble around. Sage/shadow? No force speed for you, and no stealth out (though shadow’s can temporarily neutralise it with Resilience, it keeps building up). If you want to kill a sco/op healer, it’s great. They aren’t getting away, they’ll take damage if they try, and no stealth out.

I’m a PvP Scrapper (yes, my Masochist’s Licence is in order) so you may accuse me of bias, but I’d say Scrappers have it worst. If we get netted, we’re basically dead against a half-awake team. We’ve no mitigation or worthwhile defensive cds, we can’t run away, we can’t stealth. We’ve no healing to speak of to last through it. Getting electronetted is usually swiftly followed by a bunch of guys stamping on my twitching corpse. And then we have arenas…

Specs that have it easier are probably the ranged turret types that don’t move much – so commando to a degree, but definitely gunslinger. It stops them using their long roll, so netting them has a function (particularly when they’re up top in huttball), but in the normal run of things it’s wasted becasue it could fuck someone else up much worse.

So while it’s not fun for sages, I think your man may just be speaking from his personal experience of a great ability that’s a load of no-fun for most people it hits.

Finally, saw Jason posting in the closed PTS, though don’t remember seeing any of you in GS testing – it’s a fantastic product in my opinion, great fun.

    Good job guys.

    Ilmar

    • Oh, nearly forgot – Dodge doesn’t mitigate anything (can’t remember who said that, sorry).

It makes white damage attacks miss, but no effect on electronet yellow Tech dot.
